TMJ announces Khairy as new Johor Youth adviser

Johor Crown Prince Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim appears to not have wasted any time in offering Khairy Jamaluddin a new position, just a day after the former Rembau MP was sacked from Umno.

Taking to Instagram, Tunku Ismail (above) posted two stories, each a photograph of himself and Khairy, to announce the former youth and sports minister’s new role as Johor Youth adviser.

The first story, which showed the duo standing side by side dressed in a formal suit, was captioned “Future JDTFC CEO and Johor Youth adviser @khairyjamaluddin”.

Khairy reposted the story and indicated his readiness to serve.

“One door closes, others will open. Rezeki ditangan Allah (in God's hands),” said the former Umno Youth chief.

Tunku Ismail’s second story with their photograph was also captioned “JDTFC club president and Johor Youth adviser”.

In 2020, Johor’s Sultan Ibrahim Sultan Iskandar had appointed Tunku Ismail to head all youth activities in the state.

Ongoing initiatives include the Johor Youth Hub, which was established in 2014 under the Iskandar Regional Development Authority as a platform to gather, exchange ideas, and organise various activities

Earlier today, Perikatan Nasional parties Bersatu and Gerakan had also invited Khairy to join their parties, but he had not indicated any new political moves aside from revealing that his expulsion from Umno came without warning as no show-cause letter or disciplinary hearing was given to him prior.
