East M'sia parliamentary seats
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim said the Federal Constitution will be amended to increase parliamentary representation for Sabah and Sarawak.
Speaking at a press conference in Kota Kinabalu today, Anwar said additional seats in Peninsular Malaysia could not be ruled out, but the representation ratio for Sabah and Sarawak must first be increased.
Sinar Harian quoted him as saying the cabinet had agreed to the move in line with the Malaysia Agreement 1963.

Sabah and Sarawak joined Malaysia as equal partners. To ensure Sabah and Sarawak have equal say, they must each have one-third of the total seats in parliament. This development can ensure that no one race can dominate to the extent of suppressing the other minority races.
Should have pursued this strategy to embrace diversity and multiculturalism earlier in the administration by giving more seats to these East Malaysian States. We can only hope it can succeed now as two thirds majority is required for this change in the law. It is clear that their politicians are more eager to preserve this tradition which is crucial to unite Malaysians.
To counter the hegemony of traitor Unmo, immediately start redelineation in whole Malaysia, not only in Sabah and Sarawak.
