  • PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang has reportedly indicated that his party is open to contesting the upcoming Malacca state election on a BN ticket.

The statement comes as both PAS and Pakatan Harapan seek an electoral pact with BN in the election, amid a resurgence in support for BN during recent state elections in Johor and Malacca.

According to Berita Harian, Hadi (above) told reporters in Marang today that talks on cooperation with BN and the use of party logos are still underway, and PAS is open to considering using either its own logo or the BN logo depending on the outcome of negotiations.

“PAS has yet to make a decision, including on the number of seats to contest and the use of logos. Negotiations are ongoing,” he was quoted as saying.

  • The Road Transport Department (RTD) has suspended MyEG Sdn Bhd and Zetrix AI Bhd as its collection agents, starting at 12.01am next Monday.

The announcement by the department’s director-general Aedy Fadly Ramli cited unfulfilled contract obligations as the reason for suspension, without providing any details.

The suspension comes after The Edge and Singapore’s Straits Times reported earlier today that Zetrix AI owes the government over RM200 million it had collected from customers on the RTD’s behalf.

Meanwhile, Aedy said members of the public can still access the department’s services through official or other channels. Computerised driving theory tests booked before Oct 5 are still valid, but bookings after that will have to be made through examination centres at driving schools nationwide.
