When the Nenggiri seat fell vacant, Kelantan PAS pushed to get the seat back for Bersatu.
They succeeded in their efforts, albeit in a roundabout way.
Lacking a good candidate, PN asked a local PAS leader to quit the party and join Bersatu - just a day before PN unveiled their candidate.
Mohd Rizwadi Ismail won't be a fish out of water though, as PN is also maintaining their strategy for Bersatu to contest using the PAS logo in Kelantan.

Madani 'dictatorship'
The Madani coalition has been branded the 'most dictatorial government' by activist Ambiga Sreenevasan.
This is over the government's plans to license social media platforms - which activists warn could lead to abuse.
The government is arguing that the licensing scheme is needed to hold platforms accountable for crimes such as cyberbullying, financial scams, and child abuse.
Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim assured that the licensing scheme would not be used to stifle free speech.

Super-aged Malaysia
As the 2020 census revealed, Malaysia is fast heading towards becoming an ageing nation.
But it gets worse.
Economic Minister Rafizi Ramli said that Malaysia will be going through the ageing nation process poorer than other countries.
Meanwhile, the UN Development Programme (UNDP) said the country will become a super-aged nation by 2056, with the transitions between stages happening faster than in other countries.
Oh, and it'll also be really hot in Malaysia by then, with the hottest day by 2050 expected to be 40.8°C.
