Major leak deepens judiciary scandal
The scandal surrounding the judiciary got worse after purported minutes from a Judicial Appointments Commission (JAC) meeting were leaked on social media.
The alleged minutes, which are classified, appeared to corroborate allegations contained in a leaked police report that a senior judge was accused of judicial interference.
Government spokesperson Fahmi Fadzil declined to verify the document's authenticity, but warned that if it were real, it would fall under the Official Secrets Act.
Police, in turn, initiated a probe under the Act and warned the public not to spread classified documents.

Rafizi claims old 'elites' still pulling strings
Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli fears that rich elites who were behind the VK Lingam scandal are also involved in the current crisis plaguing the judiciary.
He said that there are several ongoing cases involving these elites, hence why they would want to stack the courts in their favour.
He declined to reveal who those elites were.

AGC confirms Najib addendum is real
The Attorney-General's Chambers (AGC) last week confirmed that a royal addendum order granting Najib Abdul Razak house arrest is real.
Senior federal counsel Shamsul Bolhassan reportedly said the AGC did not dispute the addendum’s existence but was challenging how it was submitted as new evidence in Najib’s judicial review application at the High Court.
The revelation has led to renewed calls from Umno for the decree to be executed and for Najib to be transferred out of prison.
However, Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng pushed back, saying placing the former premier under house arrest undermines the principles of justice, and creates the perception that influential political figures get special treatment.
