Did Rafizi take bribes?
Pandan MP Rafizi Ramli, who has made a career out of exposing corruption, has been accused of taking bribes himself.
An article posted on a relatively unknown news site claimed that NexG Bhd had given RM500,000 to Rafizi to butter him up and get help extending their contracts to supply passports and MyKads.
Rafizi was the economy minister at the time, while the NexG’s passport and MyKad contracts were with the Home Ministry.
The purported link was NexG being awarded a contract to rent out vending machines to Rafizi’s ministry for his entrepenuership programme. It was reportedly an open tender job with multiple winners.
Rafizi, a supposed proxy who solicited the money, and NexG have denied the allegations.

Corporata mafia pow-wow
Businessperson Victor Chin - who was alleged to be part of the so-called corporate mafia - has sued Bestinet founder Aminul Islam Abdul Nor.
Chin said the suit is over allegations concerning the corporate mafia, and will prove that he is a victim of the group and not a member.
Meanwhile, Chin remains quiet about which PKR MP he gave RM9.5 million to, suggesting that the money has been paid back.
