PAS desperate for Umno’s embrace
PAS is shouting from the hilltops that it will support BN to form the next Johor state government if the latter doesn’t have enough numbers.
Johor PAS chief Mahfodz Mohamed told Malaysiakini that the support promised does not come with expectations of any reward or compensation from BN.
Caretaker menteri besar Onn Hafiz Ghazi, however, is keeping PAS at arm’s length and insists that a BN government would not include PAS.

Veil of secrecy on Azam shareholdings
De facto Law and Institutional Reform Minister Azalina Othman Said said any list of former MACC chief Azam Baki’s shares cannot be publicly disclosed.
She said that the data is part of investigation documents, while personal information and asset declarations are protected by law.
Previously Azam’s shareholdings were revealed through public Companies Commission of Malaysia records, although the ex-top graftbuster has indicated that the records were not up to date.
Meanwhile, C4 Center and Bersih said Putrajaya’s continued silence on the outcome of investigations against Azam risks further eroding public confidence in the country’s criminal justice system.
