Hadi and ‘pendatang’

PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang used racially charged language in his attempt to paint DAP as Islamophobic.

In a rant against his political nemesis, Hadi said that Islam in Malaysia must be understood through the lens of the Malay-Muslim majority, and not that of DAP-leaning “pendatang” brought in by colonisers.


DAP leader RSN Rayer hit back, saying the PAS president had a case of “selective amnesia”.

Should BN ministers quit?

Pakatan Harapan Youth have called on BN ministers and deputy ministers to resign.

This is over BN’s partnership with Perikatan Nasional in Negeri Sembilan, a move BN chief Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said could lead to a partnership in GE16.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim issued a blanket ban on all ministers, deputies, and federal agency heads from attacking each other and the coalition government during the polls, saying they should resign if they want to lash out.

Anwar-bot’s ‘intelligence’ put to test

The government has launched an AI version of Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim. It’s a WhatsApp chatbot.

As expected, people immediately set out to break it.

Malaysiakini’s own testing found the AI-Anwar susceptible to manipulation, like other AI chatbots.


We were able to get it to say that the Cybercrimes Bill passed by the Dewan Rakyat two weeks ago should actually be amended to install guardrails against excessive government snooping.

Meanwhile, one user shared on social media how they were able to convince Anwar to say that those who trusted him to fight corruption should not vote for him in the next election.
