New Selangor Menteri Besar Azmin Ali has been urged to be the "bridge" between Pakatan Rakyat parties after a fractious couple of months over the MB crisis.

PAS central committee member Riduan Mohd Nor ( right ) said in a statement today that Azmin could bring forth Pakatan's collective voice "without negating any side".

Riduan also said Azmin's success in becoming the new menteri besar of Selangor was "a sign" of Pakatan's strength.

"His success is the symbol of strength for Pakatan, without any party feeling belittled because everybody has a role and responsibility in making Pakatan win in Selangor," he said.

Riduan added that the "polemics must stop" and that Azmin can "heal the wounds" suffered by Pakatan partners.

 

"What is saddening is that this drama of shooting at each other hurt most PAS leaders, including the president and the syura council," he said.

 

"In fact those who were quiet in this crisis were also entangled in negative perceptions and wild accusations from irresponsible quarters," he added.

 

He said that Azmin's administration now not only needs to prove that a Pakatan administration can be better than a BN administration, it also must prove it’s better than the one under former menteri besar Abdul Khalid Ibrahim.
