The police will identify those who acted outside the law at a rally to support jailed opposition leader, Anwar Ibrahim yesterday, including scribbling obscene words on police vehicles.

Deputy Inspector General of Police, Noor Rashid Ibrahim said they will examine the photographs and video footage recorded during the rally before taking action against them.

"Every rally is documented with photographs including unruly acts. We will try to identify them via the images," he told reporters after closing the Inspector General of Police Trophy bowling tournament, in Kluang today.

Noor Rashid reminded the supporters to abide by the law during rallies to avoid police action against them.

He said the police have to act decisively to take action against those who acted outside the law, including making insult and incitement.

"We have to bear in mind that the courts have already tried Anwar. I advise dissatisfied supporters to act within the law," he added.

The four-day tournament participated by 19 teams was won by the Kedah contingent followed by Penang, Perak and Sabah.
