The police should not destroy the new ‘professional’ image they won for themselves during the Bersih 4 rally held last weekend in Kuala Lumpur, says an veteran opposition leader.

“On those two days, police acted professionally and in accordance with their role as upholders of peace and not pawns of the powers-that-be,” said Gelang Patah MP Lim Kit Siang at a press conference held at the DAP’s state headquarters in Jalan Rangoon, Penang.
