EC's conduct questioned

Election Commission (EC) chairperson Mohd Hashim Abdullah, PKR Youth deputy chief Afif Bahardin and several BN leaders were named in Bersih's "Hall of Shame".

Liew also claimed that a Johor tycoon was pumping millions of ringgit in the constituency he is contesting to ensure BN's victory.

MCA's Cheras candidate Heng Sinn Yee faced a hard time at a Kuala Lumpur market as a woman declared she will support her, only to add that the support was for BN to be in the opposition.

Heng later complained that she was entrapped and bullied.

BN moved to quell rumblings in the parliamentary constituency in Sepanggar, successfully convincing the incumbent MP Jumat Idris, who was dropped as a candidate, to remain with the coalition.

BN's Kulim-Bandar Baharu candidate expressed concern at Bersatu sympathisers who could tilt the balance in the marginal seat.

Firm speaks up on Dr M's jet

VistaJet, the private jet charter engaged by Pakatan Harapan chairperso n Dr Mahathir Mohamad, confirmed that his aircraft faced a technical issue but stressed that it did not jeopardise safety.

Mahathir insisted the technical issue faced by his jet was a case of sabotage.

Mahathir's son Mokhzani said he was not perturbed by discussions about his wealth, claiming that it was election talk.

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin said his party will sack members who are contesting as independents in the 14th general election.
