Pahang Bersatu treasurer quits, cites loss of confidence

Pahang Bersatu leader Roslan Hassan quit the party today, citing a loss of confidence in the party’s top leadership.

The former Bersatu state treasurer claimed that recent actions had sidelined members who did not align with the top leaders while elevating those who toed the line.

This is despite the latter supposed failing to fulfil their responsibilities to the party.

“I am confident many out there have observed the behaviour of most party leaders, who day by day become more negative and untrustworthy in managing the party. Surely, they would be anxious to put such leaders in charge of the country.

“How could such leaders manage the country when even running the party is chaotic, improper, and lacking in trustworthiness and integrity?

“Therefore, today, on Nov 1, I wish to announce my resignation as Pahang Perikatan Nasional treasurer and Pahang Bersatu treasurer, and I am leaving Bersatu with immediate effect,” Roslan said in a statement today.

His resignation came on the heels of Bersatu allegedly suspending the Bentong party division committee in September, which Roslan claimed was done without explanation.
