PAS Youth: Debating whether Amanah is DAP's servant cringeworthy

The wing’s strategic communications director Nazrul Nasir said that unlike the previous debate between PAS Youth chief Afnan Hamimi Taib Azamudden and his Amanah counterpart Hasbie Muda in 2023, the proposed topic for this debate was “cringey”.

“The topic for debate back then (in 2023) was mind-opening, about economic survival. At least there was some benefit for the people.

“This time, they want to debate if it’s true that Amanah is DAP’s servant. The topic itself is cringey, what more to debate it.

“I don’t know how it benefits the rakyat. It’s not like they care if Amanah is DAP’s servant - in fact, it’s not worth caring about,” Nazrul (above) said on Facebook last night.

‘Qualified to debate a flower pot’

He was responding to Hasbie’s statement yesterday, reminding Afnan that the two had debated in the past.

This was after Afnan said Amanah Youth was only qualified to debate a flower pot.

The Islamist party has constantly attacked Amanah as being a DAP lackey.

Amanah Youth sent an invitation to their PAS counterparts last week, challenging them to a debate to address such matters.

The debate is supposed to be held either Tuesday or Wednesday, but thus far, PAS Youth has shown no inclination to accept the invitation.
