MACC film triggers conspiracy theories
A film about fictional MACC exploits named ‘Konspirasi’ ironically became the subject of conspiracy theories itself.
The film was unexpectedly pulled from cinemas after just a week on screen - reportedly at the producer’s own request.
Despite initially saying the situation was “bitter”, the film’s producer Elepfilm Entertainment has since denied any external pressure behind the decision.
Strangely, the film is still being screened in Singapore, suggesting that this is purely a Malaysian problem.

Reprieve for faithful S’gor non-Muslims
The Selangor state government has decided that rules prohibiting non-Muslim houses of worship in commercial buildings will apply only to new developments.
The Special Committee on Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Sikh and Tao Religious Affairs (Limas) said the guidelines are meant to facilitate the planning of new development areas, so that places of worship are located close to residential areas.
This followed a week of backlash against the rules, which were first approved last November, but have yet to be enacted.
