PAS allies PKR and DAP will celebrate if the Islamic party breaks up, says Umno lawmaker Anuar Manap.

After being affected by the "3B syndrome of barua , broker and buli ", Anuar said, PAS' illness has degenerated into a "5B syndrome" with the addition of bertelingkah (squabbling) and berpecah (breaking up).

During the recent PAS muktamar, party president Abdul Hadi Awang claimed that the party now has " barua (lackeys) and brokers".

Hadi said this in reference to two PAS representatives in Selangor who defied the president and expressed their backing for PKR chief Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail during the state's menteri besar crisis.

Apart from this, there have also been those within and outside PAS who claim that the party is being bullied by its allies.

" Buli , barua and broker will turn into scab and become infected, and for certain it will lead to internal bickering," Anuar told Umno Online today.

The situation, the Sekijang MP pointed out, is worsened by the feud between the ulama and professional factions in the party.

"And when it reaches a certain point, the climax will be a break-up. And this will be celebrated by their allies," he said.

Anuar said PAS leaders must realise this is the steep price to pay for being a part of the Pakatan Rakyat coalition.

"Although this is a little harsh, this is the reality of the PAS struggle (now)," he added.

Umno has not let slip the opportunity to needle its longtime rival PAS over the menteri besar imbroglio, which has caused deep fissures in the party and strained ties with its allies.
