Ku Li backs Najib, says ouster plan unconstitutional

Umno’s longest-serving MP Tengku Razaleigh Hamzah throws his support behind Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak, for the simple fact that he is an Umno loyalist and Najib is an Umno man.

On the contrary, he said, former prime minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad, who is trying oust Najib, has quit Umno.

He also said while he is not opposed to Mahathir’s plan to oust Najib, he believes the movement is unconstitutional .

1MDB denies funding ‘Wolf of Wall Street’

State investment firm 1MDB refutes a report in The Wall Street Journal that US$155 million of its funds were channelled through a network of transactions to production house Red Granite.

WSJ reported the funds were used by Red Granite , owned by PM Najib’s stepson Riza Aziz, to produce the Hollywood blockbuster ‘Wolf of Wall Street’.

It denies a Wall Street Journal report that US$155 million of 1MDB funds went to Red Granite, a production house owned by Najib's stepson.

Terengganu in crisis, says ex-MB

Former Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Said claims his successor Ahmad Razif Abdul Rahman is counting days before he is booted out, as PM Najib has sought an audience with Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin to ask that the MB be replaced.

Ahmad, who was replaced amid dispute about his daughter’s wedding day in 2014, said Terengganu Umno is also shaky and could face defeat if the state legislative assembly is dissolved over another MB crisis.
