PKR seeks Anwar's blessing for PM, DPM

PKR is seeking its de facto leader Anwar Ibrahim's consent over a proposal to make Dr Mahathir Mohamad and Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail as interim prime minister and deputy prime minister respectively if Pakatan Harapan wins power.

Mahathir's loyalist Khairuddin Abu Hassan complained about the lightning-quick action over the forex losses that occurred decades ago and the apparent inaction on the 1MDB scandal.

Inspector-general of police Mohamad Fuzi Harun said the criminal breach of trust investigation into the forex losses could be lengthy.

Bersatu deputy president Mukhriz Mahathir said his father was suffering from high fever.

Muhyiddin accuses PM of sedition

Bersatu president Muhyiddin Yassin claimed Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak had committed sedition through a blog post in which he said the successes of the Malays and bumiputera were due to Umno's willingness to shed blood and sweat.

Najib, when officiating the 9th annual general meeting of the Malaysia Makkal Sakti Party, urged Indians to reject the opposition's "politics of hate".

Najib also took aim at the opposition's pledge to abolish tolls and provide fuel subsidy, stating that such policies were bad for the environment.

At Umno's last annual general assembly before the 14th general election, the parety’s acting deputy president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi reminded the delegates to be mindful of other races.

Ex-S'gor MB causes Umno-PAS speculations

Amanah claimed former Selangor menteri Besar Khalid Ibrahim's overtures to both Umno and PAS was a sign that he will be uniting both parties to re-capture the state for the BN.

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man said it was "strange" for Khalid to support both Umno and PAS as the two parties are considered political opponents.

PAS vice-president Iskandar Abdul Samad insisted that Khalid was now siding with Umno and it was not a sign that Umno and PAS would be working together.

Zahid denied any impending alliance with PAS.
