Below are verified locations that are reported to be affected today.

BUSINESSES

- Pasar Tamu Betong, Sarawak

A hawker here had tested positive for Covid-19, causing the market to be closed until further notice.

Betong Division health officer Dr Johnny Pangkas also said those who visited the market on Jan 10, 13 and 17 between 7am and 1pm have to undergo Covid-19 contact tracing.


RESIDENCES

- Damansara Suria Apartment, Taman KIP, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice to residents dated Jan 23, sighted by Malaysiakini, that a resident from Block B Level 3 has tested positive for Covid-19.

All common areas at Block B will be sanitised and disinfected.

- Prima Tiara 2 Condominium, Segambut, Kuala Lumpur

The management said in a notice to residents that a resident from Floor 19 had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 23.

Disinfection for common areas will be arranged.

- Kompleks Kediaman Kakitangan Awam Jalan Duta, Kuala Lumpur

In a message to residents sighted by Malaysiakini, the residents' association said there were eight Covid-19 cases detected from Block H.

The association urged residents from Block H to limit their movements in and out of the building in light of the rising number of cases.

- Flat Taman Pantai Dalam, Taman Pantai Indah, Kuala Lumpur

Lembah Pantai MP Fahmi Fadzil said on Twitter that he had received information about Covid-19 cases detected at this flat.

A team has been sent to ensure the common areas are disinfected, he said.

- Kampung Sangwai, Pos Brooke, Gua Musang, Kelantan

The Kelantan Orang Asli chief Bidi Ronggeng, who is from Kampung Sangwai, tested positive for Covid-19.

Bidi's 14-year-old son was also positive. Both father and son were treated at the same low-risk Covid-19 quarantine and treatment centre.

- Residensi Sembilan Cheras, Selangor

The management said in a notice to residents sighted by Malaysiakini that an occupant from Block A tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 23.

All common and affected areas will be sanitised.


EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- A medical college in Malacca

It was reported that a student of a medical college in Malacca tested positive for Covid-19.

Close contact screening is underway while the college is taking steps to control the situation, said state health and anti-drug committee chairperson Rahmad Mariman.


DETENTION CENTRES AND PRISONS

- Pekan Nenas Immigration Detention Centre and Quarters, Pontian, Johor

The government announced that this detention centre will be placed under the enhanced movement control order (MCO) for two weeks.


PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

- Bandar Tasik Selatan KLIA transit station

Cleaning and disinfecting works were carried out at the Bandar Tasik Selatan station and KLIA Transit Platform in KL Sentral yesterday after an Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) ticketing officer was found positive for Covid-19.

ERL, in a statement, said the employee was last at work on Jan 16 at the KLIA Transit Bandar Tasik Selatan station before she started feeling unwell the following day and had not reported for duty since then.

According to the statement, the employee did not have any close contact with any passengers or colleagues since her last working day and is now undergoing self-quarantine at home.


OTHERS

- Various locations in Kuching, Sibu, Kanowit, Miri and Bintulu

The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee yesterday added more than 30 locations where those infected with Covid-19 had visited in the past 14 days, and the time they visited.
