IKEA is prepared for the Malaysia goods and services tax (GST) implementation on 1st April 2015. In the interest of consumers, IKEA would like to reassure the public that prices in the 2015 IKEA Catalogue remain the same as before GST.
 
We are committed to providing a wide range of Swedish home furnishings that are affordable, well-designed, functional and good quality for the many people. Customers can continue to enjoy the same low-price products and solutions in spite of the GST rollout. We hope that this move will help more Malaysians live a better everyday life at home.
 
Customers can also shop with peace of mind with our Even Lower Price products. We are able to lower the prices of our popular products by selling more of it so that it’s more affordable than the previous year. We put continuous efforts and innovations into the IKEA business to keep prices low – from product design, efficient production and transportation to flat-packing, self-serve, self-delivery and self-assembly options.
 
As we are all new to GST, we will continue to work collaboratively with the authorities and the public to ensure that our customers’ needs come first. Consumers are encouraged to reach out to the right channels for accurate information on GST.
