Another M'sian sex scandal

Yet another politically linked sex scandal has erupted in the country.

This time, former Community Communications Department (J-Kom) director-general Mohammad Agus Yusoff was caught on a video call discussing lewd acts.

The video went viral around the same time Agus resigned as J-Kom chief.

However, Agus and the other man in the video, claimed that the video was doctored.

He also claimed that he was being sabotaged by another J-Kom officer.

Straight fight in Kemaman

The Kemaman by-election is a straight fight between BN and PN.

BN is fielding former chief of defence forces Raja Mohamed Affandi Raja Mohamed Noor in hopes of recapturing the seat which it first lost in 2018.

PN, meanwhile, is fielding Terengganu Menteri Besar Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar - who has led PAS in two successful state election campaigns.

The decision to field Samsuri raised eyebrows, as Kemaman was expected to be a low-stakes election for PN.

MIC bares its teeth

MIC deputy president M Saravanan demanded that the Madani coalition government give the party recognition and respect.

However, he said that MIC was not asking for positions.

He said if recognition and respect are not forthcoming, the party will be "taking action" - although it is unclear what step this would be.

MIC has one Parliament seat, with Saravanan as the sole MP.

  • Police are reportedly looking into BN GE15 campaign material as part of their probe into Kepala Batas MP Siti Mastura Muhammad over her allegations of a DAP family conspiracy.
