Fashion Valet probed
Local clothing brand Fashion Valet is under probe, and it’s not by the fashion police.
The MACC is investigating the RM44 million loss in value suffered by Khazanah Nasional and PNB over their shareholdings in the company.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has also ordered Khazanah to conduct an internal audit over the matter.
Separately, the MACC has also been cracking down on an alleged fertiliser cartel involving the National Farmers’ Organisation (Nafas).
Anwar has vowed not to interfere in either probe.

Najib ‘wilfully blind’
Najib Abdul Razak has been ordered to enter his defence on all money laundering and abuse of power charges against him in the 1MDB case.
Judge Collin Lawrence Sequerah ruled that, among others, Najib had been “wilfully blind” to the source of billions deposited into his personal bank account.
After the ruling, the former premier’s lawyer told the media that Najib did not apologise for his part in the 1MDB scandal in hopes of a favourable outcome.
Meanwhile, Khairy Jamaluddin revealed in his podcast that Najib still considered Jho Low a legitimate businessperson even after the 1MDB scandal was uncovered.

Following this, the newly elected Bersatu Youth vice-chief Faiz Rahmad publicly disputed the election’s outcome and claimed there was interference.
Meanwhile, former youth chief Wan Ahmad Fayhsal Wan Ahmad Kamal got hit by allegations that he had bad-mouthed party president Muhyiddin Yassin as being irrelevant.
