Below are verified locations that are reported to be affected today.

SCHOOLS 

- Islamic schools and kindergartens, various locations, Perak

21 Al-Quran and Fardu Ain religious schools (SAR) and seven Islamic kindergartens in Perak were ordered to close from Oct 14 to 25 due to Covid-19 infection.

Not all have cases of Covid-19 but all are closed to facilitate sanitation and contact tracing.

The schools in the Manjung districts are:

  • SRAR Al-Khairiah
  • SRAR Al-Aliah
  • SRAR Annasriah
  • SAR Arshadiah
  • SRAR Abadiah

The schools in the Larut, Matang, and Selama districts are:

  • SRAR Darul Ehsan

The schools in the Kerian district are:

  • SRAR Al Hidayatul Islamiah
  • SRAR Nor Hidayah

- SK Klian Pauh, Taiping, Perak

Bernama reported the school will be closed from tomorrow after an "undisclosed" number of Covid-19 cases. Perak Education director Mohd Suhaimi Mohamed Ali reportedly said the school will reopen on Oct 30.

- SMK Tunku Besar Tampin, Tampin, Negeri Sembilan

Bernama reported that the Negeri Sembilan Education Department has confirmed one student at the school tested positive for Covid-19. It will be closed for seven days starting tomorrow for sanitation work.


OFFICES

- Telekom Malaysia (TM), various premises, Terengganu

Four TM Terengganu premises were closed for disinfection after a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.

They are the premises at Jalan Sultan Ismail (including TM Kuala Terengganu and TMpoint Kuala Terengganu), TM Air Jernih and TM Jalan Pusara in Kuala Terengganu and TM Medan Jaya in Marang.

- Media Prima, Sri Pentas, Bandar Utama, Selangor

Media Prima has confirmed that one of its employees from Sistem Televisyen Malaysia Berhad (STMB) had tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee is based at the Sri Pentas office in Bandar Utama, but had been on work from home rotation and had not visited any Media Prima premises since Oct 10.

- Menara TH Perdana, Kuala Lumpur

Bernama reported that a Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) staff member tested positive on Oct 20, making this the third case involving a DBKL employee.

The report quoted the city hall saying the staff member works at its Valuation and Property Management Department located in the building and was instructed to undergo a Covid-19 test yesterday after coming into close contact with the first employee to test positive there.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Malacca Hospital, Malacca

Eight healthcare workers at Malacca Hospital have tested positive for Covid-19 - and not 11 as per an earlier viral message.

Clarifying this, the Malacca Health Department said no wards have been closed and all infected patients and close contacts have been isolated.

The hospital is currently treating 30 Covid-19 patients, while all other treatments are by appointment only.


RESIDENCES

- De Palma Apartment, Shah Alam, Selangor

The management has confirmed on Oct 21 that one resident tested positive for Covid-19.

- Seri Baiduri Apartment, Shah Alam, Selangor

One resident was reported positive for the coronavirus on Oct 20, according to apartment management.

- Perumahan Penjawat Awam 1Malaysia (PPA1M), Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur

A resident of Block A has tested positive on Oct 17, the management said. 

- Lagoon Perdana Apartment, Bandar Sunway, Selangor

A pair of siblings who live at Block 2 have tested positive, the management said in a notice to residents yesterday.

The siblings work at All IT Hypermarket outlets in Sogo Shopping Centre in Kuala Lumpur and Digital Mall in Petaling Jaya, respectively.

Both cases were included in last Saturday's location list.

- PV2 Condominium, Taman Melati, Kuala Lumpur

A resident of Block B has tested positive yesterday, the management said in a notice to residents.

Disinfection is underway in common areas.

- Cassia Garden Residence, Cyberjaya, Selangor

A resident tested positive for Covid-19, after undergoing self-quarantine since Oct 13, the management said.

- Kristal Heights Apartment, Shah Alam, Selangor

The Selangor State Development Corporation (PKNS) reportedly said a 31-year-old at the apartment tested positive for Covid-19 and is undergoing treatment at the Sungai Buloh Hospital.

Bernama quoted PKNS saying all common facilities at the apartment will be closed until further notice, and sanitisation works will be carried out tomorrow.


BUSINESSES

- CS Grocer, Hentian Kajang, Selangor

This supermarket was closed last week after a case was detected there.

It is believed to be where the Hentian cluster was detected.

A total of 49 cases have been detected in this cluster as at 12pm yesterday.

- Petsmore SS2, Selangor

The company has confirmed that one of its employees at this branch has tested positive on Oct 19. Sanitisation will be carried out and the branch will be closed until further notice.

- Petsmore, 1 Utama shopping centre, Selangor

The company has confirmed that one of its employees at this branch has tested positive on Oct 20. Sanitisation will be carried out and the branch will be closed until further notice.
