PKR Youth is pressing for Deputy Primary Industries Minister Shamsul Iskandar to immediately suspend his senior private secretary Haziq Abdullah Abdul Aziz.

This was after Haziq (photo, above) admitted that he was one of two men in a sex video. Haziq had also implicated a federal minister from PKR as being his purported partner.

"We are of the view that the reputation of the ministry and the Malaysian government have been tarnished due to this planned conspiracy that is similar to what happened 20 years ago.

"The senior private secretary should no longer be allowed to have any official contact with the agency and the public so as to protect the ministry's credibility,"  Kuala Selangor PKR Youth chief M Rajevigneswaran said.

Shamsul is also PKR information chief.

Rajevigneswaran said his statement was made on behalf of all Selangor PKR Youth division chiefs.

"We hope that there will be immediate action to ensure that there will not be polemics that could damage the government's reputation and efforts to put the country back on the right track," he said.

In the wee hours of June 11, the sex video was systematically circulated when journalists and PKR members were added into various WhatsApp groups by unknown mobile numbers.

The sex video, which was in three parts, was then subsequently shared in the groups along with bank documents purportedly showing payments to the minister.

To date, the video has not been verified.

In a video released early this morning, Haziq claimed the two men in the video were himself and the minister.

He said the incident took place on May 11, during the Sandakan by-election, in the minister's room at Four Points Hotel in Sandakan.
