BUSINESSES

- Maybank, Sea Park, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

In a circular yesterday, Maybank's Sea Park branch confirmed that an employee had come into close contact with a Person Under Investigation (PUI) for Covid-19.

As such, the branch was immediately closed for deep cleaning and sanitisation with immediate effect from Nov 2 until further notice.

The circular requested regular customers to consider online banking or visiting nearby branches in SS2 and Jalan 222.


SPORTS AND RECREATION FACILITIES

- Royal Selangor Golf Club, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

A seventh positive case has been reported here, bring the total to six club members and one staff.

The club said its latest case tested positive today and will be admitted to hospital for further treatment.

According to a notice from the club, the male member visited the club on Oct 24, 25 and 27.

An earlier notice announced that another male member who tested positive yesterday had visited the club on Oct 25.


OFFICES

- MiCare Sdn Bhd, Bukit Jelutong, Selangor

Several cases were detected at this company, and MiCare confirmed when contacted.

The company declined to reveal the number of cases but said they are part of the Astaka cluster.

The Astaka cluster has 44 cases to date.

- Northam Tower, Georgetown, Penang

An employee at the office tower has tested positive, said a The Star reporting quoting a Nov 3 circular from the tower management corporation.

Disinfection is underway.


RESIDENCES

- Jalan Kolam Ikan, Bayan Lepas, Penang

Business owners told the New Straits Times that foreign workers living in the residential area were part of the Bayan cluster, which has registered a total of 62 cases as of yesterday.

Almost 200 workers who live in the area have been quarantined and given pink wristbands to indicate they are close contacts of positive cases.

- Sri Raya Apartment, Kajang, Selangor

Three residents tested positive for the virus on Nov 2, said the apartment's management corporation in a notice dated today.

Two of the cases lived on Level 3A in Block B while one case lived on Level 8 in Block A. All three have been taken to hospital while their co-inhabitants have been screened and placed under a 14-day quarantine. Sanitisation of common areas at the residence is underway.

This was confirmed by Bangi MP Ong Kian Ming to Malaysiakini.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- KPJ Penang Specialist Hospital, Bukit Mertajam, Penang

A patient and eight frontliners have been confirmed positive for Covid-19, the private hospital said in a notice.

The patient has since been transferred to a public hospital.

Disinfection and sanitisation are underway while all staff are set to be tested. All in-patients will be offered to take an RT-PCR Covid-19 test. The hospital remains open for clinical services.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Prime Minister's Office, Bangunan Perdana Putra, Putrajaya

Five auxiliary police officers stationed at the Prime Minister's Office have tested positive for Covid-19. They are part of the Seridana cluster.

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said they were tested three days before the Nov 2 Dewan Rakyat sitting began.
