SPORTS AND RECREATION FACILITIES

- Royal Selangor Golf Club, Jalan Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

A fourth positive case involving a staff member has been reported here.

The club has advised those who used the clubhouse men’s changing room between Oct 20 and Oct 27 to get themselves tested as well.

The club will undergo sanitisation on Nov 2 and 3. It will remain closed until further notice.


BUSINESSES

- Sogo Mall, Kuala Lumpur

Sogo Malaysia, in a statement, said a promoter of a supplier at the mall's Level 4 Babies Section was tested positive for Covid-19.

The mall said as a precaution, it has conducted sanitisation and disinfection works. It added that contact-tracing efforts are also underway.

MEDICAL INSTITUTIONS

- Miri Hospital, Sarawak

The hospital confirmed that one of its healthcare staff had tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 30.

The staff has been isolated and close contact tracing is underway, the hospital said.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- National Film Development Corporation Malaysia (Finas), Hulu Kelang

Finas, in a statement, said a participant of its programme for the disabled on Oct 24 was tested positive for Covid-19.

Therefore, Finas' premises in Hulu Kelang will be closed between Nov 2 and Nov 6.

It said this means several services will not be available, including application renewal of licences, payments and issuance of supporting documents.

- Learning Sector and Student Affairs Unit, SK Rahang, Negeri Sembilan

After several Negeri Sembilan Education Department staff members tested positive for Covid-19, a number of related premises will be closed from Oct 30 to Nov 12.

- Student Talent Development Unit and Islamic Studies Sector, Co-curriculum Complex, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan

EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

- Sekolah Raja Perempuan Taayah, Ipoh, Perak

Four students here have tested positive for Covid-19. It was previously reported on Oct 24 that the school will be closed until further notice after a student tested positive at that time.

- Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (Utar), Sungai Long campus, Selangor

The university has confirmed that one staff member from the Sungai Long campus has tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 31.

The staff member last visited the campus on Oct 12. Sanitisation was carried out on all related areas of the campus.


OFFICES 

- Menara UOB, Jalan Raja Laut, Kuala Lumpur

UOB Malaysia said a non-customer facing employee at Menara UOB has tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee was last at the office on Oct 21. Close contacts will undergo testing and self-quarantine.

The company said they are thoroughly cleansing all affected floors and common areas.

- Wisma Miramas, Kuala Lumpur

The Miramas Group confirmed that one of their employees has tested positive for Covid-19 on Oct 30. The building was closed until further notice on Oct 30.

All other employees have tested negative while close contacts were asked to self-quarantine.

The company clarified that the tents set up in front of the building were an earlier arrangement made by one of the building tenants to conduct swab tests for their staff across all branches in compliance with standard operating procedure requirements to start work.
